Weight Training

Weight Training is offered to EOC 10-12th grade students and is designed to educate students in key areas of health and fitness. EOC students will learn proper lifting techniques, spotting methods, weight room safety and workout routines. Activities will include, but are not limited to, a multitude of lifts utilizing free weights and machine weights. As well as, an emphasis on conditioning and fitness. The primary focus for weight training will include muscular strength and endurance, cardiovascular endurance, power, flexibility and balance. Students will be able to design a weight training conditioning program that is realistic and attainable for their specific goals. This course does require a high level of physical activity, and dressing for class is required. Participation is KEY!!! You enroll in this class to workout. No sitting around or cell phone use during this class. Required Materials: Athletic wear for participation: (t-shirt, shorts, sweatpants, sweatshirts and tennis shoes).
