Raincross HS- Title I/School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA)


Raincross High School (RX) is a fully accredited continuation high school (grades 11-12). Graduates earn the same RUSD diploma presented by the comprehensive high schools. At RX students can receive individual tutoring and interventions, participate in sports, clubs and socialize with peers in a smaller environment.  The curriculum prepares students for college and career objectives offered in many formats including: self-paced, in-class, independent study; computer/online classes; and some traditional classroom instruction.

At the RUSD Board of Education meeting held on February 5, 2019, the Board of Education unanimously approved the proposed change in the RUSD Alternative Education Diploma requirements.  Beginning immediately, the graduation requirements for students graduating from Raincross H.S. will change from 220 credits to 180 credits in order to provide students an increased chance of graduating within the 4 years of high school. RUSD aims to support students, provide them the opportunity to transition into the next stage of their life successfully, and reduce the number of students who drop out. The credit requirement changes are as follows:
